FAQ

How did it start?

As long as I can remember I've wanted to have my own business. When I was 11, I was able to talk my dad into starting my own online business, SpacePengu.in. I couldn't do it alone so I ask my dad to help me on my online selling journey. We argue all the time but he is helping me learn. So I had a business and a dream but nothing to sell

When thinking of a product to sell I pitched lots of things to my dad, like tape measures, phone cases, and shoe accessories. Nothing clicked. My dad told me to find something I was passionate about to sell. I'm 11 I'm still trying to figure my interests and passions out. When pressed all I could tell my dad was, "I like cool things" or "I like to travel." "That's it! Sell things you think are cool. Cool Unique things from around the world," He finally said. I thought my dad was crazy. A couple of weeks later I started thinking "Now that's not a bad idea" and that's how we figured out what to sell on SpacePengu.in.

As far as my first products, I really enjoy Instant Noodles right now. So I'm kicking off SpacePegu.in selling unique Asian foods I enjoy eating. In the future, I plan to expand as I find more cool unique products and foods.

I hope you enjoy my website and will come back often as I find more cool unique things to offer.

Sincerely,

Max (The Original Space Penguin)

What is Udon?

Udon, a thick wheat noodle from Japan, is enjoyed in various ways. The simplest form is kake udon, where the noodles swim in a hot broth called kakejiru made from dashi, soy sauce, and mirin. Thinly chopped scallions provide the finishing touch.

What is soba?

Soba, a thin Japanese noodle made from buckwheat, can be enjoyed chilled with dipping sauce or hot in noodle soup. Nagano soba includes wheat flour.
